About

This website is an interactive companion to the Soska et al. (2021) paper, which is essentially a measurement study of the BitMEX cryptocurrency derivatives exchange.

It contains a visualization engine and a search engine to some of our data. In particular it shows the main accounts, and clusters of accounts involved, individual accounts as well a block explorer focusing on BitMEX transactions.

Almost everything is clickable, and can give you information about a specific address, cluster, etc.

While the paper features data until February 2021, collection is ongoing, and data presented on this site are routinely updated to reflect the current state of the Bitcoin blockchain.

Neither this website nor its authors are affiliated with the BitMEX exchange. Some of the authors maintain non-negligible cryptocurrency positions, but none on the BitMEX exchange.
